Explore Russian Mysteries

Welcome! We hope you find this website about Russia useful and informative. There's a little bit of everything here, including news feeds and sports headlines for the devoted Russian fans. Even the President's Official Site is linked here, with announcements from the Kremlin included in our news feeds.
What is the purpose here? We hope to share the information we have gathered about the rich culture and history of Russia. In the past year we have discovered for ourselves the treasures still hidden deep inside the countryside of Russia. There are artists there who still create beautiful works in the traditions of the old country.
We fell in love with the heavily lacquered wooden boxes with beautiful painted scenes. The collections and possibilities for genuine wooden nesting dolls in the Matryoshka style and tradition seem endless when you start paging through the choices. It should not be so surprising to me that Russia is full of talented and masterfula artists, still hand carving, hand painting and still providing real quality art pieces to the world. I do, however, continue to be amazed each time I start browsing the Russian imported items, and I would like to share them with you also.

As the twentieth century approached, Russia could boast the largest single national Church in the world.
